Welcome to McKinney Chess

Minimize
Thank-you for visiting the website for McKinney Chess.  We meet weekly in the McKinney area for chess instruction, open play and host summer camps.  We also organize rated USCF tournaments, and school chess clubs.

Our club was founded in 2011 based on a highly successful program that was launched at a McKinney ISD Elementary and Middle schools. It is our goal to create a club for all schools, and students of all grade levels as well as for adults.

Chess is a very unique, life-long game that can be played at any age and helps promote a variety of cognitive skills for kids. Chess can be a great outlet for all children but especially good for children with challenges focusing, hyperactivity, and social inhibition.

Youth Scholarships available to McKinney residents for students who qualify for free  or reduced school lunch program - lessons or tournaments.
